Depending on your technical focus, you will solve complex problems in one or more of the following areas:
- Device control, hardware-related programming and real-time data processing for ophthalmic imaging, including scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (SLO) and optical coherence tomography (OCT)
- Design and implementation of software architecture and program logic for controlling and automating the imaging process, as well as interfaces to other systems, e.g. embedded systems, service software or PACS
- Design and optimisation of robotics control mechanisms, e.g. motion planning, trajectory optimisation, simulations
- High-performance computing (e.g. multi-threading/GPU computing) for image and signal processing tasks, including the automation of imaging procedures
