- You will work closely with product management in determining and documenting user requirements and developing user requirements.
- You will play a key role in the definition of hardware and software user interfaces.
- You will create usability prototypes such as wireframes or click dummies as a basis for communication and decision-making and work with development to design practical UI solutions.
- You will develop security-relevant usage scenarios, identify critical operating steps and define risk-minimising measures together with risk management.
- You will ensure that meaningful usability tests are carried out throughout the entire product development process.
- You will carry out task analyses, usability audits, cognitive walkthroughs and other usability testing and evaluation methods.
- You will create and maintain product-specific usability files, taking into account normative and regulatory requirements.

Your qualifications
- Completed studies in the technical or scientific field, in usability engineering, in medicine or in communication sciences or comparable qualification
- Confident written and spoken German and English skills
- Certificates as Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience (CPUX) or comparable further training are advantageous.
- Experience of working in quality management systems (e.g. ISO 13485), ideally in a highly regulated area, is advantageous.
- Knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Basic user experience concepts
- UX methods such as context analysis, usability testing, heuristic evaluation, questionnaire methods, etc.
- Ergonomic design of user interfaces
- Clinical workflows, especially in ophthalmology
- Regulatory and normative requirements for the usability of medical devices (e.g. IEC 62366, FDA, MDR)
- Experience and knowledge in the medical environment, especially in ophthalmology, is desirable
